Ticks
Tick activity is surging, and so are the health risks they carry. As cases of tick-borne illnesses rise across the country, it’s more important than ever to stay proactive. Take extra precautions by keeping lawns and landscaped areas well-maintained, avoiding tall grass and wooded edges when possible, and performing thorough tick checks after time outside. A few simple steps can make a big difference in protecting your family and pets.
Mice
Mice stay active year-round but can become more noticeable as they search for reliable food and water sources. Look for signs like droppings, gnaw marks, or scratching noises. Sealing gaps around your home, storing food securely, and reducing clutter can help prevent infestations.
Mosquitoes
Warm weather and outdoor activities increase exposure to mosquitoes. These pests breed in standing water, such as birdbaths, gutters, and plant saucers. To reduce activity, eliminate standing water, use insect repellent when outdoors, and keep window and door screens in good repair.
Bed Bugs
Summer travel increases the risk of bringing bed bugs into your home. These pests hitchhike on luggage, clothing, and used furniture. When traveling, inspect hotel beds and store luggage in the bathroom. After returning home, wash and dry clothing on high heat to reduce the risk of infestation.
